As we know living cost in Venice is expensive, I found almost everything is more expensive than Germany, one scoop ice cream costs even more than in Hamburg, and for eating out we are 'forcibly' to pay 1,50 until 2 Euro for the service, and this valid not for one table but every person. Once I asked wheter I can take the food away, but they refused. So there are no other option beside to sit and eat inside the restaurant. I was also amazed as the lady asked wheter we would like to sit inside the cafe or sit on the terrace, because by sitting on the terrace it means you have to pay bit more.
But there are few things we might find cheaper than in Germany, for having breakfast in cafe. We payed 2,30 Euro for one capuccino and croissant filled with vanilla cream, and just 4,50 Euro (Capuccino, fresh squeezed orange juice, and cream vanilla croissant).
